OK calling all Canuks, Yanks and (ice) hockey fans in general !

What are your tips for the Stanley Cup?

This post is a bit late, LA Kings up 1-0 vs NY Rangers, but I only arrived here yesterday (and stayed up thru massive jet lag tiredness to watch game 1 - LA 3-2 in overtime).

I'm saying LA 4-2.

I went to Bryant Park in New York last night as they were setting up the big screen broadcast. Lots of Rangers fans there of course and lots of excitement.

I was on top of the Empire State Building during the match and we could hear the cheers as the goals were scored. I then got back to my hotel on E52 St to watch the losing goal in overtime.

A point of interest, I was in Chicago when the Rangers won (i.e. Chicago Blackhawks lost!).

I'm leaving New York in the morning heading for SFO so the curse of my presence for the home team shall be gone. :) Although, I shall depart LAX on Sunday night so who knows what will happen.

Oh and go Rangers.

You seem to have got it the wrong way round. It was the winning goal ;) GoKingsGo! :)

Game 2 underway. Kings peppering to Rangers goal ... but Rangers now with a power play ..

2-1 I believe after mutiple overtime.

Big stuff in NYC last night with bars all over the place packed and many people walking around wearing light blue Rangers shirts ...

I'm not a massive fan of LA (the city or the team) so go Rangers!

I have SportsCentre on my phone & tried streaming audio from Abu Dhabi for game 1 but the stream kept stopping.

Rangers need to start winning but it is so close - 2 games decided in OT that could have gone either way when sudden death. Rangers need to stop getting games to go into OT.

I'm trying to follow the Australian Ice Hockey League online (especially via Twitter) http://www.theaihl.com - timezones are interesting beasts, especially considering I'm in London.

My sons arrived in Los Angeles off SQ and they went and dropped their bags and kept the taxi to get to Staples Center with 30 minutes to spare. Tickets through stubhub were $500 US and they loved the game.

5-4 with the clincher scored near the end of the second overtime period! Kings not playing as well as expected, but doing the business when it matters.

CBC said last night that NY tickets were sold at an average of $2,300! (Maybe not all tix, but maybe the last batch?)

I meant 2 games to 0, not a progress score of game 2 :)

That's a good price they're $1k here in NYC for tomorrow's game.

That was the final score ...

... also the series standing ...

Game 4 8pmET Wednesday...

If the Rangers lose another game from here, that's game over for them.

Don't be surprised if the Rangers win game 4 which means LA have game 5 on home ice.

The odds are well in LA's favour now.

OK. Game 4 under way at Madison Square Gardens, Rangers up 1-0 after the first period. Kings up 3-0 in the best of 7 series. Kings came from 2 behind in both games 1 and 2 and won in overtime.

A couple of Aussie mates have gathered here in Calgary to watch the game with me (I am the only Kings fan). The buffalo wings have gone round and we are well into our second bottle of red.
