Star alliance app with status from HSBC

So I got the HSBC card and have reached my spend and now am Air Canada Gold. I was expecting to see my points go to Aeroplan but just realised they are in Star Alliance and I can divert them to numerous places.

What is interesting is the app for Air Canada is fine and showing me Gold. (Nice)

The Star Alliance app - I can find any way to log in - I can log in on the website and see my details and my points.

The App shows are Biometrics button but when it says to choose your Airline the only options are Austrian Swiss or Lufthansa

Can anybody enlighten me on how to log into the app

I haven't been able to logon to the *A app either. Think it's just a resource type tool/app.

On another note, how long did it take for gold for Aeroplan? My email came through 15Jan after final bit of $4k spend.

Mine states it will check my nominated program on 31Jan and gold will be assigned after that..... As long as it happens before 28Feb all good as that's my next flight

As soon as I paid the bill after the final spend I got the email the following day to say I was Gold and it updated on the Air Canada app straight away

I didn’t select create Star Alliance until early Jan, and then linked Aeroplan just last week. Reckon I need to wait it out. Another data point at least.

Once you complete the required spend you are asked to nominate your preferred program for gold.

Two weeks later you’ll receive your status,

I don’t believe there’s any way to speed this up.

But it happens the day after your two weeks,

Thanks, aligns with 16Jan email and 30Jan as the *A request date for status.
