Your profile adress needs to be in a country they currently match from. Trying to have the card send to Australia via the buisiness adress will most likely cause problems.

I had the card sent to my AU address while it was set as business address

Yeah but you wrote yourself that this triggered them asking for proof of residence. My point is that they usually don't verify your residence as long as your addresses are in the "right" country.

I'd be keen to do this too as my Etihad status is expiring soon. But presumably we'd need a European passport of some description for it to work?

Highly unlikely they would match a EY card considering EY owns topbonus

I've also attempted unsuccessfully to the AirBerlin status match. Had a friend's address in Berlin but as I couldn't provide any residency documents to verify they won't match.

For anyone else looking to get an AB match using a friend's address, I suggest writing in German when emailing them to request the match. Get someone to help you make it grammatically correct.

I happen to speak reasonable German, so I did this using a friend's address and got matched no questions asked. Enjoyed a nice stay in Finnair's Helsinki lounge, with its in-lounge sauna, thanks to AB

So... back to the OP's question, any suggestions on where to turn now for a *A status match now that the Avianca Brasil love is ending? I've previously had matches from NZ and TK, so they're out...I'm QF WP. My O6 match was only to gold so no soft landing with lounge access for me :/

I was just successful with a VA Gold status match to a AB gold … I do live in Berlin and they did ask for official proof of address ( local registration papers)

For those trying a USA based address – I have noticed they are now also asking for a confirmed future booking between USA and Germany on AB
