Star Class to Hawaii or QF in Econ exit row ?

I've booked QF J SYD - HNL return. What am I going to get over and above Starclass?
A better seat to sleep in (Dreamtime > Millennium), better food.:)

Maybe less attentive service.:-|

So 10 people answering a thread on AFF is a consensus?

Good to see the rest of the travelling public filling up the starclass cabins on every route.

FWIW I would rather fly that long sector on a QF 763 in economy bulkhead than anything JQ has to offer.

The question was about which to fly if the price was about the same. While some may still choose to fly QF Y, most people that have tried both would choose to fly *Class. I know I would (and I flew * class last for the reason it was slightly cheaper than the QF Y option)

In terms of the post you're responding to, a most important point, and one, having tried both, I emphatically agree with. *class at around the same price as QF Y (especially QF Y on a 763) wins hands down for many reasons.

I thought Qantas was introducing their Lieflat seats to J Class on the Hawaii route this year?

Only the A380 has lieflats.............. :p

If you mean Skybed on the A330's I heard that as well, but it won't happen until Hawaiian Airlines put the A330 on the route I feel.

As much as I hate Jetstar and will NEVER fly them domestically (unless forced by work) I will fly Jetstar to Hawaii in Star Class.

I resent everything that Jetstar stands for and try not to think about the "kids" at the front of the plane with the joystick in their hands...

Up to my post, yes it was concensus ;)

Besides John, you have stated that you would never ever fly JQ for any reason.

I will argue to the death that *Class on JQ is far superior than whY on that sad excuse of a long haul QF 767 on the Hawaii route. Having recently flown QF003 it was one of the worst flights I have ever experienced.

The AVOD units aka the 15" CRT monitors that lower down from the ceiling and fire up with a pinkish hue should be enough reason alone!!!
