Status credit flight? To fly or not to fly

Hi

Can anyone tell me, do you have to take the flight to get QF points . I have a MEL-SYD return booked with double status credits. I need the SC to make it to Gold but don't really want to fly . Do I get the points if I don't board the flight ?

To earn you need to fly.

Seconded. If you don't take the flights you don't get any SCs or points.

'Thirded'. If you want the points and SCs, your bum has to be in seat.

It depends how much you want to grab gold status. When is your flight? In the next few days? Or weeks? Or months? If in the next few days, go for it.

My philosophy is that this COVID-19 is only going to get worse as the flu season comes around. Of course, that's still some months away yet.

My other philosophy is that everyone is going to have a different speculations about the future. As you can see, some folk are going crazy about everything already. Others are waiting for things to settle down. Others like me know that it is not the end of the world, but being a school teacher, chances are I'll probably cop it at some stage.
