Right, so every VA/EY flight I fly I should always use my EY FF details to accrue EY miles/SC?

Correct. If you wish to accrue your miles in your EY account, then you will need to ensure your EY FF number is used when booking your VA/EY tickets and/or checking in. If you are going to use family pooling then of course make sure all nominated members do the same to maximize the miles to the one head account.

Which would be me (family head)! Okay-dokies now to work out the best return-on-investment for a miles run with VA.

I believe it gets better with status. I also believe that it helps if you book a long way out, not only will you find more seats , but there are often more specials, so a JASA booked 12 months out may cost a fraction of one you book next month.

I can confirm availability as a WP is streets ahead of a NB (or a PS or SG for that matter). WP also have an undocumented benefit of calling and asking for a seat to be made available (for the 5,000 point fee). I've had 100% success with them opening redemption seats for me.

I'm sitting on just shy of 400k at the present, and still trying to figure out what to do (may wait till I hit the 420k mark and do a RTW in F).
