Having just done this, I thought it would be worth posting as it couldn't have been easier. Previously there's been the odd post here and there mentioning you can status match HH Diamond to Sixt Platinum. That's no longer available, but they have an absolutely massive list of airline, hotel, car rental and other programs that they'll match. They don't require any proof of actually using that status, so any status you've earned from a credit card etc. is fine to use.
The process is really simple, go to https://www.sixt.com/php/profile/cardrequest/start and enter your details, activate your e-mail and then enter further details. Once you get to the final screen, click on the + sign next to Card upgrade and then put in the relevant program details. I used Best Western Diamond Select, but you could have used Radisson Gold etc. It seems to take lower program status levels too, so I'm sure most people have at least something relevant.
The upgrade was instantaneous and from clicking on the link to becoming Sixt Platinum took me only a matter of minutes.
I'm a Hertz President's Circle member but since COVID their average weekly prices have nearly doubled so it led me to broaden my search (based on the firms I have locally available to me, in any case). A search led me to Sixt and their rates were only slightly more than what I used to pay with Hertz, so time to give them a go.
