G'day all

I'm new to this so please be careful with me, please

I am booked to fly from Brisbane to Norway with BA and Qantas soon. It's a QF flight to Sing then BA onwards. I am in premium economy all the way out but normal bog standard economy on the way home.

My question is, will I get status points points flying on BA?

I tried to use my points to up-grade on the way home from Sing to Bris on the QF flight but I have been told I can't as it's a BA booking \

I look forward to your gentle replies

Regards

Hi Hvr

Many thanks for the reply.

I called Qantas today about another issue and I raised the issue. They where very helpful and looked at my booking and told me I would gain 240 status points for the trip.

I was told to call BA about using points to up-grade on the Sing to Bris leg but they are unable to help, bugger

You can't beat jet lag

Is it a BA flight number SIN-BNE - if so then you should be able to request an upgrade unless booked into a non-upgradeable fare class? BA wont be able to help re upgrades. I have however heard of people paying at the airport for upgrades on BA - might be worth a shot. Just be aware that PE on BA is not much of a step up from economy...

Hi simongr

Thanks for your reply. The company i work for have booked the fights on a BA booking number so it's PE out bound, they where $500 cheaper then normal econ and it's normal econ home. I will try at the lounge at Sing and use points there or at Heathrow. The Qantas telephone staff were very helpful and friendly, good to see these days
