Status Promotion Problems

Hi ALl, Is anyone having similar problems? Just before Christmas, there was a promotion - to maintain Gold Status, if you liked your FlyBuys and transferred points, you would get 4 X status credits (as well as a points advantage) My anniversary date was 23rd - I made the link on 2oth and I was short a few status credits, so I purchased $500 groceries and immediately got the additional points on 22nd and they were transferred the same day. MY FF account reflects the points transfer on 20th and 22nd. My problem - they transferred and processed the POINTS before the Anniversary date, but Virgin did not give me the STATUS CREDITS until 31st. Each time I contact them, the Call Centre person can not understand that the activity occurred BEFORE the Anniversary date ( and the proof is that the points were transferred before the Ann date, but not the Status Credits) Last time I was on the phone for ages, and then disconnected. What now?

I think the issue is that status credits for FlyBuys are always calculated and posted at the end of the month that they are earned. They are never calculated and posted on the day that they are earned as far as I know.

The activity date is always the last day of the month...the processed (posted) date is typically 10 - 14 days later (although obvs things have been a bit weird recently).

Do you have the terms of the promotion?

If status credits are always (or were intended to be) awarded at month end, then it would be a goodwill matter rather than an issue with not doing as they were meant to.
