Status reassessment at WP PG

Hi all

I posted in a thread some time ago about no change to my status reassessment date once I hit WP. The explanation I was given was that I could still hit WP PG so there was no reason to change my status reassessment date. I can't find the thread as the new search function is not as friendly as I would have liked.

I have now hit WP PG but have no change in reassessment date:

Current Status: Platinum

Status reassessment will occur: 30 Sep 2010

Status credits earned from 01 Oct 2009: 2,100


Will this just update in time or are they thinking or giving me CL so are leaving the reassessment date open?

Any change to reflect a new expiry date probably won't occur until around August, at which time it will move along to the 2011 expiry date.

Isn't the reassessment date based on your QFF membership anniversary?

My reassessment date didn't change after I hit PG either. My reassesment date is still showing 30 JUN 2011 as it did when I hit SG/WP back in Oct and Dec.

Even as a WP PG, your status reassessment date stays the same (your partners PG will be varied to match yours)

Your renewal card is generally send out 6-8 weeks before the end of your "year".

For the last two years, part partner's PG card has not been received until 1-2 weeks after my WP new year.

Strange. I just checked my reassessment date and it has switched to 2011 after making gold 2 weeks ago. I can't recall what the date was when i requalified silver. Initially thought it might be due to the difference between expiry date and reassessment date. But no.

iirc,

If you upgrade status from that which you started the membership year with, then the reassessment date should change whilst renewals ( and subsequent upgrades of course ) do not

e.g. IF silver with a reassessment date of 31 May 2011
Earn 300 SCs and will have enough to be renewed when the reassessment occurs , but will not be renewed now
Get to 700SCs and the membership tier will upgrade to Gold and the assessment date will change to 31 May 2012
Get to 1400 SCs and the membership tier will upgrade to Platinum and assessment date will stay the same

If already Platinum, then there is no higher level that can be achieved during the year so the reassessment date will not reset until around 2 months prior to expiry when they renew it

lucky you if they are thinking of giving you CL status. From my understanding of CL it is by invitation only for people that influence inter alia the travel budget. My last two three bosses were all CL and I believe they try to limit membership to around 10,000.

My "year" ends 31st October. Several years ago I had re-qualified WP by November 8th. My re-assessment date still did not advance until early August the next year at the same time as I received a new WP card.

Note that I did not receive such a form. SWMBO was already Partner QP and they simply sent her a new pretty gold card. At the same time her status re-assessment date changed to match mine.

Yep a package will be automatically sent out for you to nominate mrssimongr as PG. You can also do it over the phone - which I did. They sent us the nomination form anyway and the OH's brand new Gold pack followed a couple of days later.

That sounds like my situation.
Status assessment is on 30Nov. I hit Gold about 2 weeks ago and was silver for 2 years leading up to it. See what the card says (expiry wise), should be in the mail by now...

I've had the same thing, but with my lowly PS status. I requaled with our recent trip to the US, but am still 270 points away from Gold, and unlikely to make it by end Sept. My reassessment date is still 30 Sept 2010, and I have ben expecting it to click over to 2011 for the past few weeks. It hasn't.
I *thought* it had done this in previous years as I'd requaled for PS. That's the highest I've been.

I just got my GOLD pack from QF. New Gold card, and status reassessment is Nov 2011.
just depends how early into your new "year" you qualify. If you qualify just after the new year kicks in, you pretty much get 2 years worth of that level.

It makes no difference at what point in the year you qualify to what the reassessment date will become; your assessment date would have been 30 Nov 2010 and has now switched to 30 Nov 2011

When you qualify, you just miss the current year and assessment is the following year. I was just stating that, if you Qualify right after your assessment date, you can have that level for "almost" 2 years, first time reaching that level.

Unfortunately, the company I work for is cost based (given the disparity in price between Y & J though, it's not surprising). :shock:

My QF year ends 31/7, and I'll have a total of 1,010 QF status credits, all discount economy.
That would be 2,020 status credits if they had paid full Y fare, and 4,040 if paid J.

And it doesn't include another 58,800 miles flown in *A.

Anyone want to swap? ..please?....
