Status renewal 2 years running

We've proved this to be correct, now you go find me just one person who was denied keeping their elite status on the first year moving down?!

Given that you are making the assertion, it is up to you to show that all people have been renewed if going to make sweeping statements. Some people obviously have, but given the number of members of QFF that is an insignificant amount to be able to state that everyone gets renewed

Mrs NM was Gold for one year only (through to Sept 2006). She was dropped from Gold to Silver after one year and from Silver to Bronze the following year. She was never issued a "please explain" letter, just demoted from Gold to Silver to Bronze. As she had not been close to attaining the SCs needed to retain Gold (or Silver the following year) and no forward plans for substantial flights for the following year, there was no reason for her to expect to be comped Gold or Silver a year later. She now used BFOD (since its my/our money involved) and next trip is booked on DJ.

Gold is Gold. Partner Gold is the status beyond Platinum.

It's presented to many other members so why not her?

Everyone on this board knows if you call certain banks and "beg" for the yearly fee to be cut they will waive it for you....

It's all about learning to see how it all works and how we as consumers can be most empowered so that we can make strong descions and get the best of what is available to us.

I agree with NM. If a person is 50 points off renewal and going to fly the next year, then a phonecall is ok. Where someones flying has basically stopped its begging.
