StayAngel shuts down

I was part of StayAngel's trial. I had a number of technical problems in those early stages, which could have been my fault I imagine, and did not pursue it. The one thing I have plenty of now is time and an able to monitor what is happening with rates at my chosen properties so I guess I am one of the people to whom it would be of limited benefit. However, I'm not surprised at the reactions of Hilton, at least as suggested here. I can't see too many medium and long term benefits to the bottom line.

Appreciate the kind words of support everyone. Not my first business and certainly won't be my last (y)

The beta test trial in 2014 and what StayAngel turned into were very different business models and customer propositions... StayAngel was making 7 figures/year in new revenue for Hilton.

Hilton turned down between $1 and $10 million p.a. in new revenue? And no one else was interested? I don't expect you to reveal commercially sensitive stuff but surely someone would see this as worthwhile ?

I was always intrigued by the model and have only now had time to read the article and understand more of the background.

Greatly admire your entrepreneurial spirit trippin_the_rift -- and appreciated the chance to participate in the trial and be a paid up member for a short period of time. Did save me some money and would have saved me much more had I acted on the alerts more quickly (totally my fault).

Cheers.
