Have 5 nights Stockholm / 5 nights Copenhagen upcoming - recomendations on hotels please.

Must be 5 star - must be central location - your input would be appreciated.

I guess your 5 star requirement rules out Wakeup Copenhagen where I stayed in January 2011. Rooms were small, but clean and comfortable and ridiculously warm (I had to open the window because I was too hot despite it being -10c or colder outside)

Stockholm: Grand Hotel, Stockholm. It's an IC now too. Hilton, Slussen is not bad either.

Copenhagen: Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Copenhagen. This is the original Royal Hotel which is in a fantastic location and features classic Arne Jacobsen Danish design.

Again thank you to all contributors - this is what we decided on
Stockholm: Grand Hotel, Stockholm. It's an IC now too. Hilton, Slussen is not bad either.
We chose Lydmar Hotel in Stockholm - Lydmar Hotel — Stockholm – +46 (8) 223160 - very new - pretty funky - overal fabulous hotel - staff totally customer focused.

Booked through Cent Travel - promised upgrade on check in if room available - fully booked on arrival so no upgrade - smallish room with next to no bench space. Only 100mtrs grom Grand Hotel so wandered up there as considering changing hotels.

Grand is so dated - clearly a great hotel in it's time - but rooms so dated - nothing spent on them in 20+ years and twice the price Lydmar - we were happy with choice then. Next morn upgraded to large room - just FABULOUS - would thoroughly recommend it.
Copenhagen: Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Copenhagen. This is the original Royal Hotel which is in a fantastic location and features classic Arne Jacobsen Danish design.
Yes we did indeed chose Radisson Blu Royal Hotel - http://www.radissonblu.com/royalhotel-copenhagen- what a disappointment.

Again booked Junior Suite through Cent Travel - tried to give us twin toom at check in - refused that - they eventually put mattress across 2 twin beds pushed together - comfy to sleep on but still stop gap.

YES was Arne Jacobsen designed and YES great location but nothing - NOTHING changed since built in 70s - now dated and tacky - but spacious.

Cruiserette says seperate toilet from bathroom big + - but that is about only positive, Staff really strange - quite sharp and abrupt and really don't show any outward warmth or desire to please - quite strange. 2 for 2 for me - had bad experience in Radisson in Shanghai coupla years back - no more Radisson for me.

If anybody is coming to CPH you just gotta try Eve Peron Steak Restaurant - FABULOUS - great steak - great service - great ambience - live music - just a fabulous experience. They have these hand stiched leather pouches for cutlery on table and matching serviette rings - we bought 2 x pair as souveniers - not usually sold as have to be hand made again - $30ea pair a bargain - fabulous unique souvenir
