Hmmm...to apply for a US premier checking account, there is a $50 monthly fee:

Are you saying that if you have HSBC Premier in Australia, that $50 monthly fee is waived? How do they know you are HSBC Premier in Australia?

Yes Premier in AuS makes your premier internationally
It’s comes up on your Status
Easy way is have you been 6 months in Aus a member

I might be wrong but i didn’t think that applied if you were eligible for Premier in another country…… I’ve certainly never been charged it - but i did open my account mid August

Edit: Has anyone managed to apply for a BoA card with an ITIN? I'm interested because I know BoA will be partnering up with AS for their upcoming premium card...

I saw on Prince of Travel (the Canadian site) that BoA does ITIN i n person or on phone so might be worth a call

Applied for the chase biz ink unlimited . Got the email that they will get back .
Declined for SOfi as they can’t verify me .
Both chat and tel CS mentioned it’s not because of ITIN . Asked me to reapply in a day

Sharing my win for Amex Biz Platinum

After taken advises from @levelnine I was holding my breath (my 1st) purchasing 2 United Travel Bank December 2024 - which already had plans to use in the near future (any tricks in buying domestic tickets within North America please?). Had a December Hilton stay - no trouble using the credits and got statement credit immediately. Could not use BG for Dell Credit - so purchased a super Hot Deal Dell Laptop with free deliver and flipped it on Ebay US - after all fees/deliver fee. Got around US$150 in my pocket and $200 statement credit.

Gonna do the same for this quarter 2025 for another set of United Travel Bank/Dell Credit/ and HH credit.

Enroll in all the benefits, select United & purchase 2*$100 in TravelBank if you have no better option, purchase something from Dell if you can & purchase a $50 Hilton gift card (requires physical delivery). They're the big ones.

So you shipped that Dell laptop to your freiight forwarder address, sold it on ebay and forwarded it from there to the buyer?

That's a great idea! Especially if there are no Dell deals available on BG.

Same here but if you don't have any cashflow issues then you could pre-pay your PAYG and get a return back.
