Strategy to obtain US Amex

Was it the same process as applying for the credit card post GT where you need to have an ITIN/SSN? Did they ask for any further information as you're already within their system through their cards?
I applied with my ITIN - not sure if can do without it - yes was very simple - easy application - nothing other than usual identifying details - got an initial email asking to call - they wanted the Passport and ITIN - got an email to upload those - 24 hours laters it was approved and open

Does anyone have tips for checking your TransUnion credit report? I can log in to Experian (with VPN) and Equifax (without VPN) from Australia but TU stymies me.

I'm not looking for the score, want the full report.
Can you share more how you can access Experian as I have not be able to access their site with VPN. Not sure if my NordVPN is the issue here.

Got Amex HH approved via Nova. Bit of back and forth and HUCA required.

Needed passport, ITIN CP65 and address details to be uploaded. HSBC denied a 3-way call to confirm address with AMEX.

Had to wait few days to get a new HSBC interim bank statement generated with new address that AMEX rejected due to a policy around the statement required to cover >25 days period.

Tried to get HSBC to generate new statement but they can't do longer length interim statements apparently.

Eventually AMEX just approved the application without further documents being provided.

Does anyone know if AMEX have recently changed the policy to wait 10 days to get card sent to Au or is it still the same?

ITIN, who did you use? Worried using the ITIN generation services might raise an eyebrow. I cannot remember if I've sent a copy to them before but Chase was a close one.

My 1st chase card approved. Applied 7/Nov and was asking to wait for letter to send home after recon. waited. the form asked for ITIN verification. Faxed back. Called again today asked the person verified more information and approved on the phone.
Opened Chase Checking Account in branch in Oct 2024. Been putting a lot of transaction thru since opening to pay Amex/HSBC CC.
History: 1st US CC was approved with Cap1 in end March 2024. It's Premier , no AF, no Bonus, which got upgraded to Quick Silver 1.5% cash back no AF - if anyone needs referral please reach out.

I am over the moon today.

Congrats ! So an itin is mandatory for the nova method ? Any reason you chose nova over gt method ?

Since one can no longer apply for the Amex everyday card , does anyone know if there is any other free Amex MR card one can apply for through GT without an ITIN ? What about the BBP ?
Or is it mandatory to have an ITIN for an Amex biz ?

Credit Report question

Got my Equifax account setup - logged in today - and my credit report is essentially blank. Have a green card (Aug 2023) and Platinum (Sep 2024) and neither show up on file - no score either (previous FICO was 684 that came with Platinum card) - no address details either except a wrong old mail forwarding I signed up for but didn't use - no DOB showing either

Realise its all new and this may be credit file with ITIN attached but anyone have any DP on how long it takes to start seeing proper info on credit file?

I signed up for free account and happy to pay for "proper access" but feel it will probably be just as blank at this stage

ITIN required, over 6 month history with ITIN required - this is from Amex rep when I tried to apply as soon as I got my ITIN.

Yes AFAIK ITIN mandatory for Nova, they asked for a copy of the IRS confirmation letter.

Was churning AU AMEX before I learnt about the US card game, I would have kept it and gone with GT if I had the option like most folks here, but anyways it was a good learning exercise.

Waiting out the exclusion period for new account bonus atm before reapplying for AU AMEX later this year.
