Strategy to obtain US Amex

I was applying online for the hsbc us checking premiere account for my wife who is premiere in oz .
I noticed condition 3 for eligibility . She would not meet any of the conditions . However she does have US Amex card accounts .

Any ideas for a work around ?
What have others used ?
TIA
When they did this for me it was because they did not have me down as Premier - I would just check that they have her as Premier status and that is the reason you are applying for US checking - when they confirmed Premier status I did not need this just the usual - generic investing and saving - and that was valid reason to open

Did you apply long ago ? Was this same condition visible then ?
Someone upthread mentioned they have a record of global premiere customers .
In any case here hsbc oz bank statement which I will supply for proof of address mentions she is premiere .

Credit Report question

Got my Equifax account setup - logged in today - and my credit report is essentially blank. Have a green card (Aug 2023) and Platinum (Sep 2024) and neither show up on file - no score either (previous FICO was 684 that came with Platinum card) - no address details either except a wrong old mail forwarding I signed up for but didn't use - no DOB showing either

Realise its all new and this may be credit file with ITIN attached but anyone have any DP on how long it takes to start seeing proper info on credit file?

I signed up for free account and happy to pay for "proper access" but feel it will probably be just as blank at this stage

Update - got my TransUnion hard copy of Credit file - it shows my 2 x Amex Cards with all correct details. I spoke to Equifax who claimed that the reason must be that Amex is not reporting - suggested I speak to Amex and ensure they report - Amex closed - will try next week.
Suspect it may be a ITIN reporting in the wrong column and masquerading as SSN - wish they made it easier - awaiting Experian to see what they have - when I called the guy on the phone suggested he was adding ITIN to file to prevent these errors - not sure if that is true or will make it worse

1 month ago - I got the same email and conditions when I applied - I was not properly premier when I applied and got the same email. Corrected via HSBC in Australia and got email stating was Premier - reapplied and did not get the email stating those conditions

It was a recommendation for people hitting Ink after Ink after Ink.

There's no hard and fast rules with Chase. Obviously, the thinner your credit profile, the slower you have to go. It is not the end of the world if you get denied, but the general advice is that you wait at least 30 (if not 60) days after a denial before trying again. Chase hard pull every application.
Also a couple of DP is from a chase biz if you get approved for 5k, then slow down as that is the min limit

Hi Georgie23,
How did you obtain a hard copy of your Transunion file ?
Did you make the request in writing ? If so, did you mail in the request from Australia and did they send you the copy to your US address ? Finally, what document copies did you provide them with ?

I’m totally freaking out. This popped up on Textnow. I can’t log in. I’ve had this number since May 2022 and never any problem before. I submitted the appeal but it’s a holiday weekend.

If I try to call it has a message that it’s no longer in service.

What exchange rate do Amex use? I just did a payment on Gold for 5712 Brazilian Reais but it has come up as a pending charge of US$978 (which is about 3% worse than current rates)
It finalised at $960 in the end so not too far off mid market rates

Can you share more how you can access Experian as I have not be able to access their site with VPN. Not sure if my NordVPN is the issue here.
I'm not sure what the magic was. I struggled a bit to get any of them to work from Australia but presto, Experian started working with my iVPN turned on and Equifax with none.

I still can't access www.annualcreditreport.com or TransUnion which is a bummer because I'm in a pretty active phase and want to be able to see the minutiae of my reports pretty frequently.

Damn sorry to hear - I hope it sorts out
Worst case scenario can you port your number out to Tello - not sure if that is an option to keep the number
I think there was a person here recently who ported from TextNow to Tello so they may be able to give some DP on how easy it was

I wrote them a letter (actually to all three to see how the credit report looks like)
Generic letter with my details requesting file
Included copy of passport/ITIN/bank statement
I used my US mailing address and they sent to there and the company scanned it form me yesterday

I used Docupost to post the letters - cost about $7 per letter to send - very easy can do online and upload my generic letter with the three files and they make it into one letter

Do you have SSN to be able to access them?
