Stuck in Singapore (JQ8 cancellation)

Scoot organised hotel, transport, dinner and breakfast + $10 each to spent at SYD airport for a 17 hour delay.

Many moons ago, we were flying KUL-SIN-SYD
5 pax travelling Y
Was told at KUL to get the SIN-SYD boarding pass at SIN. I smelled a rat. Got to SIN only to be told the next sector no seats - overbooked

Compo:
SGD $500 per pax = $2500 cash on the spot
$100 vouchers to spend in airport per pax
Rebook 4 hrs later.

Cannot be bothered getting out of bed to redact the full thing so here's a screenie as I have just seen it on my phone.

Even a chocolate teapot has more use than this shower.

And as for a phone number for complaints, gotta wonder if this is just to dismiss/avoid any in writing.

For the record, there were no file restrictions my side with any attachments I popped into an email.

Yep, I had JQ7 cancelled on way up, and just then JQ8 cancelled on way back

If there’s a 787 out of action the JQ7/8 is the first to get canned as pax can easily be shifted to QF.

Did you try hang up call again ? Sometimes they can be a bit funny depends who you talk to / but also how far in advance the cancellation
