This is why I love being a Qantas Platinum member!

I already had a flight booked MEL-LAX in F for February next year, but now the +1 needs to come with me, of course, unless you booked online 330 days out you have pretty much no chance.

So I decided to take advantage of the "unpublished benefit" of requested a classic award seat as a Platinum or above member.

5 minutes on the phone and the +1 is now booked in F with me for MEL-LAX as a classic award, plus $500ish in taxes and a $60 phone booking fee.

Despite all the other small enhancements to QF, this unpublished beneift will keep me loyal to QF for 2015

Well done QF and do NOT remove this "benefit" even though it's not published!

Had similar success late last year.
Scored F Award Seat LHR-SYD and QF opened up a J Award seat for Paddy Jnr.
Much appreciated!
