Suggestions for FF points accrual on the following flights..

Hi all, I'm just wondering what your suggestions are re the best frequent flyer scheme to link to for the following flights:

Sydney to Singapore with Singapore Air
Singapore to Frankfurt with Lufthansa
Frankfurt to Skopje with Lufthansa
Manchester to Munich with Lufthansa
Munich to San Francisco with Lufthansa
San Francisco to Sydney with United

I currently hold some points in the Singapore and Swiss schemes with most points accrued in the Diners Club & Altitude Rewards schemes.

What class of travel?

Are you looking to get some airline status (may need more flights than this to get it) or just accumulate points for awards?

Thanks. Do you know what fare class it is? (Was this purchased as an around the world - if so what product? Cheap economy or expensive economy?)

I think the main contenders for you would be SQ (as already have points and presumably steadily adding through credit card), NZ (local so more partners incl Westpac but is revenue based so poor for cheap economy), UA (good earning for cheapest economy and especially on UA flights [if you have UA status] + LH transatlantic [if you have UA status]) and LH (good earning for expensive economy fare classes YBH and also business/first but very poor for discount economy).

If your flights are discount economy then would probably go for SQ or UA.

United has advantage of some cheap awards within south pacific as all one region.

SQ has advantage of combining with credit card miles so may accumulate enough for more meaningful award.

Note that the cheapest fare categories on SQ earns no miles on any program.

Edited to add - took me a while to post this as called away. Will look up W class and see if this changes anything.

I guess that with the W class I may not earn anything on Singapore.

W is fine. The non earning classes on SQ are V, Q, G, N and T.

Both UA and SQ would be good. NZ & LH very poor earning rate.

Thanks again for your assistance. I think that I'll just use Singapore for all the flight points to keep it simple.
