Suggestions for SYD airport hotel 1 night and transfer to T3.

I've stayed at 3 Sydney airport hotels: 1) Airport Sydney International Inn, 2) Novotel, 3) Rydges.

I will never stay at 1) ever again. Was a terrible experience. Room was falling to bits. Corridors were in a disgusting state, and I couldn't tell if my meal was fish or chicken or something else. I complained to the Manager about my experience. What a waste of time, I'll never get those 10mins of my life back again.

2) The hotel was nice and would stay there again, but the shuttle was a disgrace. Waited at the curb for an hour with about 5 phone calls asking where it was. Almost took a taxi instead. Pathetic.

3) This place was great, a walk directly across the road from the international terminal, meal was excellent and service was great. If I need an airport hotel for international flight, this will be it.

Never stayed at the Stamford but looks closer to domestic terminal. Might try there next time I need an airport hotel for domestic purposes.

Has anyone stayed at the Stamford of late? I also notice their general website is currently down. Not a good look.

I'd usually go the Rydges but it is way over priced for the night I need.

Other options I'm considering is the Pullman.

Any experience with the Mercure?

Somewhat OT but I'd also be trying very hard to get moved to an earlier flight asap - 1 hour is cutting it fine in my opinion. I'm stunned if through no fault of your own the flight time has been moved and QF won't allow a WP to pre-move flights. I presume you've called at least a couple of times?

I agree and have had no issues changing flights with QF to increase the connection time.

As for hotels, we're booked into the Mercure. There is a cost for the shuttle so we figured we'd probably juse use uber.

Yes HUACA until you get a better connection time.
If they say 1 hr connection is valid - just say you dont want to miss the flight

I'd just say Im not comfortable with that tight a connection and have something to attend at my destination so cannot risk a misconnect.

If you can acquire a QF $30 off hotel voucher through a very kind AFFer, you can get one night for ~$150 and ~550 QF points. As you know, it is sooo convenient.

(depending on date).
