0% for 6 months Balance Transfer is irresistable. And i don't suppose we need to prove we are a family or friend of a Suncorp employee?

Since it is issued by Citibank, I expect that means that existing holders of Citibank issued cards will not be successful if they apply.

Don't Citibank have limit 2 x CC's per customer? I have Select and was yesterday approved for Virgin Velocity High Flyer card which is also Citi issued card.

Ah, OK. My experience is that banks limit you to one, no matter what brand is on the card, but clearly Citi are different.

I also recently applied for a Citi Signature or something and was approved for that whilst holding Select - cancelled that one after harvesting the bonus pts - I think a few others here did same.

For anyone collecting velocity points this works out at 0.625 points per $1 spent. Obviously not as good as the citibank signature deal but for those clearing sub 75k (35k qualification) this isn't a bad option with zero annual fee.

I understand what you mean but surely if it's branded under Suncorp, it doesn't count as another Citibank card? I haven't encountered a problem with having multiple cards with the same bank, wouldn't they prefer to have more of your business?

For reference, AMEX (directly) have a limit of three separate card products.

Plutonus you might be correct here but I am not 100% sure - IIRC I had 4 AMEX cards at one pt in time just to harvest sign on bonus pts - again IIRC Cent Rep once explained to me that they limit customers to 2 Charge Cards but you could have additional Credit Cards - as many as they would approve - but that is quite some time back.

I have 3 amex the plat the reserve and the edge.
and 2 bank amex and a djs amex.
not sure what is going to happen to my plat renewal and the fact that there seems to be no reserve now so no free flt.
I had almost talked myself into the 1200 deal with the 200 credit the flt worth 700 and the flt worth 350 and the free accor night
the lack of free flts puts a real damper on the deal now.

Be careful with this card and repayments. If you don't pay the balance in full for two months, it changes you interest on that month and the month prior. I previously had it and was stung a few times when missing small amounts of the balance

That's standard credit card practice. If you don't pay off the previous month's closing balance in full, they will charge you interest for the previous month (the month you didn't pay off in full) and the current month, until you have paid a statement's closing balance in full.

The statement, for the month after you didn't pay off the closing balance in full, will have the interest charges from the previous month because they didn't know, when they issued the previous month's statement, that you weren't going to pay it off in full, so they didn't know that they needed to charge you interest (or how much).

Got this card to replace my WW EDR CC after MacBank takeover - so far all good.

I've applied for one too. 0% for purchases & balance transfers for 6 months is pretty sweet. No signup points, but with no annual fee for life, I'll save around $135 a year on the next cheapest non-Amex card that pays 1 point/$, even after the $49 fee for QFF points. Also no messing around with who'll accept Amex & what's the surcharge either, for 1 point/$.

The only downside I can see is points cap of 120,000 points per year, though it will probably be a few years before that's an issue for me.;)

I've got to say I'm impressed with their efficiency - applied on Friday, card in hand following Thursday. Also, it was so easy uploading the required documents rather than faxing & having to write the application number on each page (and wasting paper) or emailing & risking someone copying them, as they pass between servers with no encryption. It puts some credit card providers to shame, like HSBC. I applied for a card with them on a Monday and still haven't got a card two weeks later. There weren't any problems, they just have a VERY inefficient process.

Yesterday I got an offer in the mail from Amex offering me the plat reserve with free flight and 15000 MR points for joining.

That's kind of wierd, not offering the card anymore in general but then selectively offering such a bonus. Makes you wonder if they are changing the card rather than winding it down!

Got my card last Thursday. Still haven't got the PIN (Wednesday). Not so impressed now, especially as the supplementary cardholder got her PIN 2 days after her card.
