As we'll both be intending to drink, suggestions on overnight accom near the Pitchfork would be appreciated! (NOT paying $233 for the dreary looking Sheraton)

The restaurant owner has replied as follows

The accommodation closest to the restaurant are:

Sails lifestyle resort
Calypso sands ( right on the bus line to the restaurant)
The retreat ( nicer accom)
Glen eden resort

The Pacific blue Apartments and the Prize position Peregian beach
Are within walking distance to the restaurant

Disaster strikes... the OH has reminded me that we already have something on that weekend so I've inadvertently double booked myself. Unfortunately this means i can no longer join this event. Apologies for any inconvenience... I need to diarise better!

Regrettably I will be a late scratching. It has been a busy week at work. Something of a bombshell was dropped yesterday, and I have had to juggle the next few weeks of travel as a result. Apologies to those who were hoping for a lift.

Finally got a room at the Beachcomber at Peregian for $130.00 per night so we'll both be there.

Did the rounds of Wotif, Lastminute, Need it Now websites but most of them had a minimum 2 night stay requirement so I ended up booking direct with the property.
