So here's a weird one. In 2014 I retained Gold on points spend but last year I only stayed a few nights due to a job change. Since the new year I have stayed Gold on the HHonors website even though I haven't earnt it.

What's happening?? Will I be Gold at check-in or is this a website error?

Hilton drops your status on March 31 so it will change from April 01 despite only being earnt between January 01 and Dec 31.

Ok cheers, thanks! I'm going to try my luck getting the Gold extended, I have a whole month of nights booked already for this year!

You are better off dropping from Gold and qualifying again April/May after you drop.

You would then have at least Gold status until at least March 2018.
