I've got a Qantas digital lounge pass expiring March 2021, and am wanting to swap for a Virgin pass for early March 2020. Can pick up physical pass in Sydney or Melbourne or transfer digital.

Hmm, every time I go into the lounge, either VA or QF, they want to link a BP with the lounge invite, for QF its even harder, as they want you or or me or the flyer to link the lounge invite onto the booking, either pre arrival to the lounge, or if in MEL, at the top of the escalators leading to the veer left or veer right, either to the QFd J lounge, or the MEL T1 QP.
Not sure if you can unofficially gift lounge passes just on spec, like that, as is the OP's plan.

Free Qantas Club passes are occasionally offered by generous Australian Frequent Flyer members. These passes are listed in our “free” classifieds section. Note that soliciting for, selling or swapping lounge passes is not permitted on AFF. Qantas also sells lounge invitations on an ad-hoc basis to selected flyers
