Good on him.
Cant be a real big fan but as he had to read it from a script...all the reporters are doing it now.
Someone will probably complain and he will be fired tomorrow...

I saw ACDC once and the train driver put on Runaway Train (loud) over the PA...we all liked it.

Personally, I prefer the pilot to fully concentrate on his job at hand, rather than entertaining the passengers, but hey, that’s just me.

Maybe next time he can practice his upcoming performance on Australian Idol, together with air guitar etc.

I truly hated hearing anything like this, and it never happened on my aircraft. Not everyone wants to know about your engagement, music, holiday, or any of the myriad things that people want to inflict upon those trapped down back. The offical stuff is bad enough.

I was on that flight and the captains PA was amazing, and very funny. Everyone enjoyed it, particularly the swifties. Good on him for making the flight so memorable for everyone. We weren’t even taxiing, we were on hold on the tarmac, he was completely professional about it the whole time. And what a voice… he should be on radio!!
