Just booked a return flight SYD-JFK in business class ticketed with VA for next July for $5,267.36

Booked via AMEX online travel and used my $400 Platinum travel credit bring the fare down to $4,867.36.

Happened to come across a web site Matrix Airfare Search which found the fare for me.

I too got a Google flights price update on this route today. Spewing I'm not flying until October 2018 and seats aren't yet available
