Planning to book an award ticket from SYD - KIX on 8 or 10 October 2018 . Trying to avoid high tax and high points redeem from Qantas 72,000 points + $300 Tax / ticket compare to 40,000 points with AA .

Can anyone with some AA Balance help to check how much tax will be save going with AA miles .

Just looked at my AA account it is coming up with F+T of USD69.10, so around AUD100.

Thanks alot Matt for a very quick response look like a saving of almost $200 per ticket in tax if go with AA .

With current 25% bonus with SGP to AA it come down to :

72,000 QF points and ~$300
Or
28,750 SPG and $100 in tax .

My qf points balance is higher than amex spg but $200 save in tax is great
