Separate reservations (i.e. 3 tables) made under Cameron, Cam, and CJ, all for 7pm. Was trying to ensure we didn’t get forced into the set menu

Maybe come prepared for both. I haven’t been to this restaurant before so not sure of their appetite for bill splitting, cash vs card etc.

Forgot to mention they did call me yesterday to ask whether I needed one big table or if they were separate tables? Despite the varied names (and different email addresses), I think needing to add the same mobile number to the bookings was the giveaway

Indeed! I've kept it as separate tables to try and mitigate the risk of an enforced set menu. In any case, 6/7 to a table will likely be more conducive to ease of conversation and mingling.
