Hi All,

Last month I managed to secure 3 pax in J for a SYD-PER-DXB-CDG award booking, first sector is QF then EK. with todays announcement that the WA border will stay shut with no date given for reopening I won't be able to transit via PER.

This is the third time I've had to rebook this after last weeks CX announcement on reduction in flights. I've tried to get through to QF this morning, first agent was terrible, awaiting a call back. I can find any award avalabllity to route direct from SYD to DXB, if I speak to QF can they split the award and refund the SYD-PER -DXB element so I can rebook ? Or do they have any obligation to find an alternative based on the above set of circumstances?

my sympathies go out to you all in QF queues right now/

Wow. Thanks. Didn’t believe that was possible under the current regulations.

Yeah, always has been allowed, still have to do the G2G pass and then finding a flight to PER too.

Finding a domestic flight to Perth will become extraordinarily difficult with the majority of the schedule being pulled no doubt.

I wouldn't have too much confidence in EK continuing either.

Who knows about EK. They have kept going the past few months in PER for what ever reason.

so if the QF or EK flights get pulled are QF going to reroute me or just say tough luck? (just so im prepared for the outcome. (the whole itinerary is one PNR using QF points))
