I am arriving in SYD on a QF international flight. What's the best way to get to the QF domestic terminal?

QF website only says: A shuttle bus service is available to passengers that are travelling or have travelled on a Qantas flight (including codeshare flights) or oneworld flight. The shuttle buses operate every 10-20 minutes from 6am to 9.40pm.

SYD Airport: you are transferring between a Qantas Domestic Flight (QF400 - QF1599) and a Qantas International Flight (QF001 - QF399) in either direction, you may be eligible to use the Qantas Seamless Transfer Service. For more information and to confirm your eligibility visit http://www.frequentflyer.com.au/community/your-questions/www.qantas.com

Both sites do not give any details on where to get the bus and whether if its free.

QF Website again: Transferring from T1 (International Airport) to T2 and T3 (Domestic Airports):
After you clear customs, recheck your baggage at the Seamless Transfer Check-in counters and then board the shuttle bus for the Domestic terminal.* The shuttle bus service is available to passengers that are travelling or have travelled on a Qantas flight (including codeshare flights) or oneworld flight.

Is using the seamless transfer advisable? Or should I just take a taxi with my bags to T2 and recheck my bags there? I want to minimise the chance of lost bags!

thanks

The service is complimentary as long as you are inbound/outbound on a oneworld airline (including QF).

The bags check works fine, you clear customs with your bags on a trolly and head to the right along the arrivals hall to the transfer area.

What time are you arriving into SYD?

Early morning... 7am.. Why?

Do you get your boarding pass for the QF domestic flight at the transfer area when you check in the bags? Or do you get it at the other terminal?

SYD in the early morning can be very busy; sometime it's simply faster to lug you bags, pay to take the Bus/Train and check in at T2/T3.

If on the one booking, when checking in internationally (say in SIN), you will often get you Domestic BP (Say SYD-MEL) when checking in there. If not, you check in and get your BP at the "Seamless" transfer desk before taking the free bus.
