That was my experience too.Service was OK. After the lunch service the staff basically completely disappeared. Definitely not proactive....
Thanks I was aware. I'll have changed hotels and be in New Taipei City by then.Just FYI, it is Taiwan National Day on 10 October.
My favourite moment was also JAL F.I was trying to sleep but was tossing and turning. So the blanket was in a mess. When the FA passed by she noticed this and very nicely tucked me in.I thought I shouldn't open my eyes! That was my experience too.
My fav example of proactive staff was on JL yeas ago on a 747. I was in Y, and once the meal service was finished, a couple of FAs sat in their seats at the emergency exits (facing me), and just waited serenely, until someone pressed a call button, and they'd jump up immediately and go and serve that customer.... was very entertaining to watch!
Extraordinary. Or, just doing their job...
Hi Dr just a quick question, were you able to choose your seats immediately after the booking went through?
I believe there is a 180 day period or something from memory?
Yes. No problems.Hi Dr just a quick question, were you able to choose your seats immediately after the booking went through?

Yes it is a 180 day period for seat selection and a 21 day period for meal selectionHi Dr just a quick question, were you able to choose your seats immediately after the booking went through?

Unless you have an urgent need, I would suggest the window seats - stacked if you like.Does anybody have any thoughts as to the best seats for a couple?
I'm assuming one of the middle ones?
Thanks.

I would avoid the first row as the crew use the storage area built into the area frequently.
I would also suggest the front section of the cabin as this gives you access to more toilets.
And in case you weren't aware, there were no overhead bins in the centre of the plane on my flight. Means, that although there is still adequate room, the bins are only on the window sides of the plane and competition for space is more tight than I've experienced with other J flights. Thanks Dr, I will aim for the 2nd row onwards at the front section
