Sydney Airport- A National Disgrace

Well, looks like a possibility that int flights will come back to AVV.
Then we can, or can we complain, which is the worst airport in Aust.
PER T3/T4 has no train connections to the city of PER, but buses are quite ok to get around.
AVV, is like an hour out of MEL, no train connections, and have to get a taxi to Lara Station, then train to the city.
Which is the worst airport in Aust then, AVV/SYD (?) for int flights?
(((***Ooo, I thought we were flying into Melbourne, but sir/madam, you are flying into Melbourne, its just that Avalon is an airport in Melbourne, .***))).

AVV, is like an hour out of MEL
and the rest; at busy times it can 20 mins just to get out of Melbourne CBD and onto the freeway to head to MEL let alone all the way to AVV.

There are heaps of Australian International airports worse than SYD (i.e. no train, no first lounge, no aerobridges) HBA (you can fly to NZ form there), CNS, OOL, ADL.

ADL is ok. Yes, no 1st Lounge but they’re few and far between in Oz. HBA could certainly do with at least an ADL or CBR style terminal.

HBA is kinda charming … if the airlines could manage to be on time occasionally, and turning up at HBA 30 minutes before your flight wasn’t turning up 3.5hrs before the REAL time of your flight, it’d be fine. Although QF could put some catering & a decent bathroom into their lounge.

Skybus meets every flight doesn't it. It's not totally without connections

Bit longer with AVV Skybus than the MEL Tullamarine one.
Maybe during one of my MEL sojours, I might try the AVV Skybus and back again.

Notwithstanding the normal buses right outside international exit that go to domestic
I arrived into SYD from LAX last week. The Border Force procedure was fine and it all went downhill from there. Lining up for domestic transfer we were told the security screening equipment wasn’t working and we could either wait and QF would rebook us if we missed our flight or take the train.
We decided to take a gamble on the train. On arriving at the lifts we found out of two, only one was working causing a massive queue. I also noticed the up escalator was also not working. We then paid our $8 each to go the one stop, by comparison I paid $4 for the whole day on the SEATAC train.

The SAC Website states “one of Australia’s most important pieces of infrastructure”. How about treating it that way.
Speed Test
I suggest the management go to Singapore to see how an airport should be run.
