I don't recall anyone in our group drinking wine at Marble, from what I recall we were all drinking spirits.

But I'll echo the previous sentiments - thanks all for a great night, especially kpc for organising and bossreggie for the hospitality.

I'm not being a skin flint!! I just do not like the idea of paying for drinks for people I don't even know!

I also thought we were drinking spirits.

If you ordered the wine..... PM me. I promise I'm totally OK with it. It's just that the hotel desk actually asked my PA about it when he checked out. That's not a usual thing.

I think the hotel is concerned that I've had that charged to my room. It may mean that they have had some complaints from other guests.

I will reiterate..... If you are an AFF member... I am 100% happy to pay for the wine. It's no problem. Please just let me know. It was an open bar tab and I'm not worried about a few $$$ here or there

Thanks all for a great night, KPC for organizing and finally meeting the generous bossreggie in person!

When is the next one ;)

don't recall anyone having wine at marble bar - we were only there for one drink and bossreggie spent most of that time up at the main checkin desk

Rum and coke for me in the bar, definitely no wine.

*wish I had an "I need to go to sleep now" moment*

Sounds like a great night had by all, reading the various threads on Meets/Do's makes me very jealous! Must get along to an even one day!

definitely no wine bossreggie @ Marble Bar. As has been mentioned I think we were all on spirits. Bourbon & Coke here.

Thanks to kpc for organising

Had a great night meeting everyone - and it would've been even better if today is not a work day

Cheers

I kind of hope it wasn't an AFFer. Sorry, but charging an $1100 bottle of wine to someone else? That's just taking the piss.

Poor form.

I hope it is resolved soon bossreggie.

Poor form.

I disagree. It was outright theft, IMO. I heard the drinks orders at the marble bar and no one asked for a bottle of wine. It was ordered to the bar staff directly within hearing of everyone else. One drink only and then we left. So of the group I saw I don't recall anyone having the opportunity to order wine.

Let me clarify by saying poor form on whoever/whatever is responsible. I'm not accusing any members of anything, as I was not there...

If you only had one round then it would seem to be either (1) a mistake, or (2) someone fraudulently quoting BR's room number.

Sorry didn't mean to suggest you were pointing fingers. I'm in the number 2 camp.

It was a great nite, initial drinks / dinner at King St Brewhouse, topped up with a few drinks (no wine) at Marble Bar, and then 2-3 bottles of wine (and pizza) at Bossreggie' suite, the latter 2 compliments of Boss (thanks for your generosity). I have messaged Boss to let him know that no one from our group ordered / drunk any wine at Marble bar so hopefully he resolved it with the hotel. Hopefully, this will end that discussion, and I will like to thank all 14 AFFers who not only attended, but were all seated ready for dinner at 628pm!! Unbelievable punctuality...:)

Sounds like i missed some fun and games after i headed home, had an early morning meeting i should have moved to later in the day :(

However... thanks for a great evening, some great conversation, putting faces to names to handles that im sure to forget most of them :)

And if all goes to some sort of plan, hope to see a bunch more of you again on Saturday.
