Any chance to get all the off topic discussion of card technology moved to it's own thread. Sorry for being lazy but I'm just not that fussed to actually go through and report all the posts - as per the official guidance on how to make this request.

How hard is it to copy and paste London's Blue Oyster system or Hong Kong's Octopus system? Paper ticketing in todays age? Sydney (and the rest of Australia...) needs to get with the program and get their act together l'm sorry to say.

Nothing wrong with paper tickets. Munich still uses paper tickets and they can be used on all forms of transport. Only difference is you don't have to swipe/read your ticket everytime you get on a form of public transport.
