The shareholders who haven't had a drink out of Qantas for a number of years?
They might actually be given a drink next year, now that the finances are on the upswing!!

Red Roo, will this be extended to awards for travel originating outside of Australia?
Just had a look at Sydney-Singapore flights. SYD-SIN-SYD is 56,000 points + ~$295. The opposite direction, SIN-SYD-SIN is 56,000 points + ~$505.
You could save yourself ~$70 by booking two one ways - SIN-SYD and then SYD-SIN. The saving is about $100 except you have to add the credit card fee for the one way exSYD bringing the difference down to $70. If the aussie improves against the SGD the savings will be slightly less.
The same is going to happen with me.Good tip.
Actually, I was looking for a friend and they're only doing SIN-SYD one-way. Qantas wanted 28,000 points plus SGD242. They ended up just booking with a different airline.
On the one award booking these 2 flights are 35,000 QFF points. So why show JQ flights only? I can probably call and they will book it for me but I cannot be botheres.
Agreed. Another QFF email that got deleted immediately.
Why is it that they genuinely enhance the things that don't matter (whY awards) and 'enhance' the things that do matter (JASAs)??
Economy awards are important to some people as they struggle to save enough to redeem for premium travel.
Forgetting that you could do it with multi city!Forgive my ignorance, but what is stopping you from doing it yourself with a multicity?
Careful. JASA's are off topic according to some here.
Even with this, at 56000 points + $400, the toaster is still better value...You could save yourself ~$70 by booking two one ways - SIN-SYD and then SYD-SIN.
