A bit off topic but...

I was at SEMA last week (big car show in Vegas) and was looking at some American “campers”...think F250’s with juddles camper on the roof, and one salesman showed me his “Ta-nar-mee” range. (rhymes with Tsunami)

I looked at the spelling which was how we spell it and said “Oh you mean the Tan-a-my, the Australian desert?”

He confirmed they had named it after the desert and was deflated when I told him he was saying it wrong.

I guess the Americans won’t know or care but.
