Dear serfty

If you stay at hotels regularly you probably have hotel loyalty program points. But did you know that you can transfer your eligible hotel loyalty program points into Qantas Frequent Flyer points[SUP]#[/SUP]?

What's more, if you transfer these points at the rate determined by the relevant hotel before 22 February 2012 we'll give them a 20%* boost. Transferring your points is simple and having them in one place could bring you closer to your rewards.

You can transfer your points from Accor, Choice Hotels, Hilton, Hyatt, Intercontinental and Marriott loyalty programs into Qantas Frequent Flyer points.

I knew I was saving those A|Club points for something. :D

Must be targetted. I received the same email minus any mention of the 20% bonus offer. :(

Its targeted, no bonus for me.

Got the email with bonus. But which - if any - program would give any good yield?

PC might if you accumulated the points extremely cheaply (otherwise the conversion rate in itself is not impressive).

I've got no A|Club points and they never attracted me in the first place when the minimum transfer is 4,000 points.

In the case of PC, is USD 60 for 2200 QF points!

Is that good?

I mean, 2200 points is two flights and a bit, and you can't buy that for USD 60.

On the other hand, who would buy Qantas points, really? This isn't US DM........ :D

I got the bonus offer but don't have enough Hilton or A-Club points to transfer, and there's no way I would move my Priority Club points to QF.

Shouldn't it be 2400 QF points? (20% of 2000)

No. You are essentially buying QF pts at USD 0.025 ie 2.5 cents per QF pt (USD60 / 2400).

Well I feel privileged - first offer from QFF in my whole 15 years of membership!
My lifetime Bronze has finally counted for something :).

I got the 20% offer. Must have been because I recently moved some PC points to QFf account.

On the topic of PC points, am I right in saying the earn and conversion rate is something like earn at 10 points /$1 USD and 10,000 points convert to qFF 2000 points? So $1000 spent = about 2000 points?

But direct earn rate for QFF in Australian intercon hotels = 3 pts per $1. So $1000 spent = about 3000 points in this case?

Re: 20% Bonus on Hotel point transfers 'til Feb 22nd

Could someone explain this to me, I did receive the email plus 20% points offer.

I have 75K hilton honor pts., I use accumulated points for hotel stays. I receive 1000 points to qff for a stay (not each night, total of nights = one stay). I'm sure ya'all understand how it works, trying to make my query clear.

So if I take up this offer, is it the 75k hh points that convert to qff and if so, how much would it be?

Many thanks, I can't work this one out and yes, first time I've received a bonus offer also from qff.
cheers

I was taking off my commission, well that's my story, it's 2400 points of course.

10,000 HHonors points may be exchanged for 1,500 QFF points, and so on.
