Targeted - 5000 points for doing a test drive

Mine finally posted yesterday! I called them earlier in the week and was told they're submitting them all now, but in batches, so it's unsurprising we're seeing them show up on different days.

Still waiting on mine too despite several phone calls to Hyundai. Apparently they had a huge response to the promotion.

People posting about this on Facebook. Seems to get no response from Hyundai. They obviously don't care about the damage to their reputation.

'Still waiting for my 5000 points from this promo Velocity Drive and Earn | Hyundai Australia

Have called your customer service number multiple times and sent you several emails. All I get is fobbed off. I took the test drive and did everything I was supposed to do but you don't seem to care about the promises you made.

Why aren't you paying the points as promised?

Very bad look for Hyundai. Looks like you've run a promotion and never intended to pay the points. Great way to alienate potential customers!'

Hyundai Australia

When did those who have not received points take the test drive? Was it longer ago than the 28 days stated in the promotion conditions? Agree it seems like a shammozzel but is it possible that for some people they haven’t actually breached their own conditions yet?

But they have.

This is a key term which they haven't followed through on:

'participate in a follow-up phone call from the Promoter to receive offer reward (Offer Redemption).'

They wont actually call you!

I've called multiple times and sent online messages. They are at best obfuscating and at worst acting in a fraudulent manner.

Yes this is the shamnozzel part I’m talking about. In the absence of this phone call when does the 28 days begin? On the day of the test drive? I don’t know. When was your test drive? More than 28 days ago I’m guessing?

It's not a 'shamnozzel', it's a breach of contract. They haven't done what it is that they indicated they would do. This is exactly what a breach of contract is.

My test drive was 28 days ago. But it's more than 45 days since I signed up for the promotion and asked for the test drive to occur.

Well I guess we all have differing levels of gaf about something like this but I’m sure you’re correct.

So when does the 28 days begin? On registration for the offer or after the actual test drive?

I actually did the test drive on Monday in a Tuscon,( I'm looking at buying a new car) very nice car to drive. But I want to try the other brands as well Nissan, Honda etc etc, when will I get my 5000 points is the real question.

Recently had the 5000 points credited, and only one follow up call. decided to stick to my old car as the new ones didnt have 4x4 manual in standard diesel. Still nice car for some who dont have any preferences

Still no points after this last email from them.

I've now lodged a dispute with Fair Trading NSW.

No points. But Fair Trading NSW contacted me to discuss the situation. Asked what I wanted. I told them the points and $500 cash for wasting my time. They said that the $500 was doubtful but they would see what they could do.

Still waiting on my points. Looks like I'll need to do this as well.

Its been 3 months since my test drive - no points! what email address have you sent complaints to?

Things progressing very slowly.

Have had an official email from Fair Trading NSW confirming they have contacted Hyundai. But still no points awarded.

Sorry you're still having the issue Ralph. Seems like months since I got mine and I thought my experience was bad.

5000 points now showing in my account. I've been advised that I will also be receiving another 5000 points for the 'inconvenience'.

Based on this experience I'm confident that I'd never buy a Hyundai vehicle.

Was speaking to a friend recently about this promo. They said that they registered, didn't take a test drive but got the 5000 points anyway!
