The double SC promotion that formed part of the genius of this thread and referred to in the OP requires that flights be flown by 6th September this year to be eligible.

Nobody had mentioned gaining bonus SCs for flights after 12 April, but what you wrote is correct.

Before or on 12 April as you indicated earlier.

No doubt many members would find that "travel by" period relevant and useful (albeit not necessarily Mike65, but perhaps).

The email is titled 'fly to perth recieve 50% bonus status credits'. This is interesting because I was looking at perth flights a day or two ago and because it doesn't seem that I have to fly to perth to recieve the bonus, any QF flight will do.

Same here. The subject line for mine was "Fly to Bali, get 50% more Status Credits", but the body was a more generic "There's never been a better time to book with Qantas. For a limited time, you'll be rewarded with 50% more Status Credits on eligible flights with a QF flight number on your ticket." T&C have no restriction on flights to Bali.

I was looking at fares to DPS over a week ago but never followed through with a purchase, so maybe that triggered something? I'd imagine DPS haven't been selling particularly well with the volcanic activity recently.

It must be tracking what you are searching for. Anybody else notice when they go to the QF website now it comes up with recent searches? I'd love to go back to the UK so my targeted e-mail stated "Fly to London. get 50% more status credits".

I purchased a sale ticket in Y+ to HKG (there is a lounge meeting in June) last year and not long after that got a 50% SC offer for another HKG flight.

Accepted that and requalified WP for another year.

I have been searching for flights to Santiago while logged in under Mr FM’s FF no. Today an email popped in the inbox, with “Fly to Santiago with 50% more status credits”. It is valid for bookings made in the next 7 days for travel up to late May and any QF marketed flight with a QF no.

We don’t bother with Status credits anymore, but clearly they are “watching” searches and using them to target offers. Either that or a gigantic coincidence.

A little bit of both. I do a lot of searches. No email and I may come up short this time around.

Looks like my (almost) monthly 50% bonus SC offer has arrived. The last one was received on 04 January 2018 looking up thread..
It may have been triggered when I checked some PER-BNE pricing on QF last night, just prior to booking the same flights at a significant discount on VA ($345 or about a 31% discount on the QF price).

I did not trigger the offer the last time I checked pricing on QF however, when I saved more than $550 or about 45% when I booked on VA, as that was during the global QF DSC offer period.

Yes, as I also wanted to check that some CC points had been credited.

I have no (valid) forward bookings with QF, which may also come into the offer equation....

Well i just got a 50% promo email to book in the next 7 days.
I havent done any flight searching while logged in recently (ive been away). The closest thing i did was while logged in check the point earning calculator. The email literally arrived shortly after that this morning. Im doubtful if QF could target so quickly based off that small lookup.
I only just got back from a trip so i may or may not book something. With DSC im already set to qualify and make LTS this year.

I received the same 50% promo offer this morning. Already WP, my year ends in April but no travel planned until June & waaaay too many SCs required for P1. I have logged into the app a couple of times to review upcoming trip in May but no flight searches in last two-three weeks.

I don’t think flight searches are relevant. I’ve done heaps this week and nothing here. I do need to book flights for next week but like Lat34 my year ends in 2 weeks and already requal WP.

I've got overlapping 50% bonus SC offers now. One on Tuesday for travel until 8-Aug (headline "Fly to Vancouver" because I've been searching that route), one Friday for travel until 12-July

Just got a targeted one - interesting timing given they just had a general 50% SC offer for all Qantas customers.

'Fly to Sydney' in the subject, an odd choice given that's where I live. Available until June 25 for travel bookings up to 17 October.
