$5mill to attract international flights (and additional domestic??) to Tas (now that HBA has had its runway lengthened, and strengthened).

Can't see it making much of a difference to the international appeal, although Air NZ may extend its HBA-AKL flights on the calendar. Domestic? To BWT or DPO would be handy.

Pulse was reporting “New direct flights: Tasmania in talks with Cathay Pacific and Singapore Airlines” recently. As much as I love the idea of flying direct to Singapore with Sq, I can’t see it happening unless it was part of a fifth freedom leg. The teasing is somewhat cruel.

A long time ago Rex used to fly DPO - LST. It was an extension of it;s KNS - DPO flight. We flew from KNI via DPO to get to LST.
