Terrible experience with Virgin Australia and ignored at check-in

In this instance, I think it would be more on point to say, "this is Perth"... It is extremely hard to find quality, base-level staff to employ in W.A. - it is tough competing with the salaries/conditions offered by the big mines, when trying to entice competent new recruits to other jobs in Perth.

Maybe. However the travel and tourism industry is actually quite high in Perth and WA. Working with airlines still does hold some nostalgia value I think for some. Unfortunately, I think it's the airlines and 3rd party contracting that is the issue. Cost cutting. Passengers to do just about everything themselves on most things. Indeed you can in some cases go from check in procedures to boarding without actually coming into contact with any "human". No wonder the world of politeness, dealing with people and having a sense of belonging is being eradicated.

Security at Perth was quite busy. When I went into the lounge I asked at the desk do they foresee the advertised fastrack lane ever opening. They could have benefited from it today from a pax perspective. Answer like all things Virgin in recent times..."not for the foreseeable future". Which probably means never unless someone else pays for it I suspect. Lounge pretty dire. Empty server areas and just scrambled eggs and toast for breakfast. Rubbish really.

The terminal opened in November 2015 - almost 10 years ago. I feel like if the fast track lane was ever going to open, it would have by now. Perth is certainly somewhere that would benefit from it, although with the Sydney and Brisbane "Premium Entry" only open a few hours a day, it seems (at least from their actions) that VA are moving away from this.

Great to see so many people using the Perth terminal but alas, it is getting as bad as Melbourne T4 Now that is somewhere that would benefit from a priority lane (or if there is one, some signage to make it a lot more obvious as to where it is)!

Lounge pretty dire. Empty server areas and just scrambled eggs and toast for breakfast. Rubbish really.

When I was there a couple of weeks ago, the pancake machine was broken and there seemed to be little desire to fix it (was loaded with 'mix' but produced coin sized pancakes). Hopefully it was fixed and you at least got some pancakes too...

View is ok. The fasttrack "area" and with a pic of virgin logo though is probably somewhat misleading. They would be better to remove it. But hey it's Virgin!
