Well I just returned from Kigali, so despite the cheap price, won't be tempted to book. ;)

Please do explain - not a nice trip there?
Not at all...It was an exceptional trip! We went to see the Gorillas at Volcanoes National Park. Rwanda has been decribed as the "Singapore of Africa"...it is clean, safe etc. Mäny locals told us it was safe for women to walk alone at night in Kigali. Quite a few things to see and do in Kigali eg Genocide Memoial, restaurants, safaris etc. If you are going to Kigali, don't do a turnaround and stay a few days...you wont regret it! PS the Gorrilla permit is USD1500 per person if you are thinking about it. ;)

I guess the fare couldn’t be replicated through KQ or TG websites and only through OTAs? If so, not interested.
Aunt Betty I’ve only heard poor things about, whereas booking.com uses ‘gotogate’ and based on online reviews they can probably only be described as the biggest pack of #%^*s in the flight booking game.

Good luck @MathNerd, hope your trip a) tickets and b) doesn’t change in any way so you don’t have to deal with the OTA! 🤞

Actually, I was able to replicate it on KQ website last night, but resisted the temptation.

The fare rules dont seem to be clear on the cancellation fees. It just mentions that there is a cancellation fee.

I have booked and ticketed.
Here are the penalties for cancellation and changes within the fare rules.

Has anyone worked out how to get the stopover without an OTA? I can!t get it to price on Kenya or Thai.
I am able to get stopovers in BKK and NBO outbound and BKK inbound for under $1,900

Where were you able to ticket this? I can find them on oddball OTA's but I'd rather book directly.

That’s quite some time in Rwanda and then an equally long ‘stop over’ in BKK on the return!

I was able to call Kenya directly and book with outbound stopover in NBO and BKK on the return. I called the US number, it seemed easier to get through.

Prices look to have been adjusted backed to normal rates now at over 7k - so was obviously an error......Surprised it took them this long to fix though!

Good luck to those that got a ticket.

Still showing some dates for early Jan on google flights… didn’t click through to check if they could still be ticketed
