Eldest daughter just had her mid Dec Music Festival postponed till Feb. So she now has to await a refund as the Feb dates are useless to her.
While understanding why, she is none too pleased as the only reason she was flying to Thailand by then, plus with an internal flight booked, was due to the date of the Music Festival. Her other planned highlight is a sailing charter but that does not start till Dec 27th. she also was only flying into bangkok as it was near the Festival.
While travel insurance may in theory pay for some of the change, the excess would outweigh that. Booking for a later flight is also now not an option as the flight costs our expensive, whereas her flight over was bought at a bargain rate. So while is probably a first world problem, she now has to re-plan what to do for two weeks.
