Hi All,

Despite being a relatively prolific flyer over the past few years, I'm only a recent initiate to the FF forums. However, I wanted to say a general thankyou to all of those who have posted on just about every topic I could possibly have a question about with respect to my SG status, and redeeming award flights.

I've just booked the outward bound award leg of a dream ski trip to Japan (PER-NRT-PER), using Expertflyer, which picked up the only two X class available seats in my time frame.

This wouldn't have been possible without the combined knowledge of everyone else here - so...... Thanks!

(Now all I have to do is hope that the return flights are available when they come into the bookable timeframe!)

Cheers,

RockDoc :)

[RockDoc/],

Welcome to AFF. It's great to hear that the forum has been useful for you and good luck for your return flights. :D

Hi guys,

Thanks for the welcome.
Bang4Buck, I'm looking at Nozawa Onsen at the moment.
Lots ofsnow, plenty of free Onsen to enjoy, and the oppurtunity to stay in a Ryokan rather than a western hotel (I'm a bit of Nippon-phile).

Sikeveo - how did you guess!? ;) I certainly am a geologist. I take it you too are of the same ilk? Currently just doing a bit of intrastate domestic flying (ahh lovely Kalgoorlie) but have been fortunate enough to have my job take me to some pretty exotic places in the last couple of years.

Looking forward to being a regular contributor here in coming times.

Cheers,

RockDoc.

Cool, Im watching the Vancouver Olympics right now.

There's nothing better that sipping a cold beer on a floating plate in a hot rotenburo while the snow falls on your head (well, some things are better but that's one of the beauties of ryokans in that they're often mixed; consequences of which I'll leave to your imagination). Anyway, enjoy.
