And of course the final bassinet of the trip. We were fortunate that neither of us had to sit with him although given the width of SQ's seats I guess this probably wouldn't have been much of an issue.
Final ratings I think would be
Lufthansa first
SQ suites
SQ first
Qantas business
and a big fat 0 to AA for not even supplying infant seatbelts.
Hope this is a help/inspiration for anyone else with young 'uns to not be afraid to travel. We are lucky that the little guy is such a good traveller, but frankly I have no qualms about bringing him in the premium cabins as the additional space is so worth it!
Thanks for reading, and if you've got any tips for keeping up this points game once they pass 2 y.o. i'm all ears!
What was the infant cost on LHR-SIN-SYD (sorry if I missed it)? This trip report is perfect timing for me as we'll be doing similar Euro summer next year .

I am a great believer that families can and should keep to their travelling lifestyle, and bring bub in tow to get them acclimatised. Thanks for a wonderful review - and I wish your family many, many years of happy trails and memories !
Thanks for a great trip report! As we discussed over in the SQ thread we are off to Europe in SQ J with our 4 month old, leaving in 10 days, unfortunately won't have the space of first that you had but looking forward to it all the same.
Nice report! Good to see a travel-friendly baby as opposed to many rather un-travel friendly ones I seem to end up around on flights lol. My first flight was MEL-OOL on a QF 767 when I was 6 weeks old I believe and I normally travel 1-2 times a year minimum so I have been flying for most of my life. Now doing flight training down at Moorabbin and it's quite a change from the usual window seat in economy.
