The AFF Hall of Shame (AKA The Confessional)

My first ever J flight was a points upgrade Y to J SIN-PER on the old 767 J bucket style seats (Dreamtime IIRC?). I did not know what a lounge was back then, nor did the check-in agent advise us we could use it ....... we had friends travelling back on the same flight so wouldn't have gone in anyway, but would have been nice to know! They had too much luggage so at least were able to use our newly increased J luggage allowance to safely get their (many) purchases back home without additional cost.

The other weekend I had a points ticket booked BNE-xSYD-oMEL-xSYD-BNE. While in Melbourne the MEL-SYD leg was cancelled and they re-booked me direct. My sin is that I did not ask for a refund of points/cash, nor did I ask for ORC (points club). In my mind, it wasn't worth the time.

This sin might earn me a public stoning...
I joined AFF in 2008 but didn't use it straight away, so forgot about it 😱. I only "discovered" it again a few years ago😲. My punishment has been not being able to fly to the northern hemisphere summer during Melbourne's winter.

I took a premade sandwich out of the qantas business lounge so I didn't have to buy lunch later
I don't even see this as a sin tbh but I am a borderline kleptomaniac when it comes to bagging in "free" things (haven't used any shower products but those little hotel bottles for years and more often than not my towels also have a nice 'souvenir' branding :p ).

Back during my time in the UK, flying loads across Europe for both leisure and business, it was pretty much standard behavior for me to stuff out my carry on bags with those little bags of kettle chips and a few of those tiny soft drink and beer cans that BA so conveniently offers in their T5 lounge. Usually sufficed as an after flight snack in the hotel before heading to sleep ;)

I flew JQ this week 😱

In my defence, it was because they operate the only direct Adelaide - Hobart flights and my original VA flights went via Melbourne. Am I forgiven?

@Berlin, I too am a borderline klepto - once I took a couple of small tins of Fever Tree tonic from the BA lounge to my son in Dubai as it is really hard to get there. And I have definitely packed a couple of packets of kettle chips and even a couple of tim tams into my hand luggage towards the end of a J flight to Tokyo to eat on the bus connecting to the snow fields.

Not that I have done this but I have thought about it but when travelling on F SIA to ask if I can take the left over or a full bottle of Dom perignon or krug or caviar

Hoped off the train at Central (Syd) instead of continuing to the airport, got dumplings from my fav takeaway on Devonshire St, then back on the train to the airport. Yesterday!
