Seen this fellow everyday - hotel dog or loved stray?

View attachment 46229
We were in Athens in 2002 and there were strays everywhere. We used to steal little sausages from the breakfast buffet and feed them - almost broke my heart. Locals either hated the dogs or looked after them - we often saw people putting out water for them. We saw a police woman treating one dog who had a wounded leg. She said that people often abandoned their dogs and there was no RSPCA to look after them. He doesn't look in too bad a condition. - some of the ones we saw were very thin and mangy.

Time to leave Athens. Hotel car is booked for 07:15 ... we have time for breakfast and one last look at that view.

Phew! Only just caught up with this TR, and am loving it. Looks like gorgeous weather in Athens, and very clear air.

Although I love seeing old and ancient cultures, and especially their architecture, Greece has never really appealed. Can't explain why. I think I am wary of things chaotic; but that said, I loved Rome when I eventually got there, so Athens should be a shoo-in. And with this and other AFF TRs, organisation should be a breeze!

PS last 2 posts pics come up as 'invalid attachments' for me.

Lounge was basic, and empty. Given the flight was full I wondered if the season flyers were ensconced in a better one. The gate was so close to the lounge I was still getting full strength wifi into the airbridge.

At check-in I noticed our seat allocation had changed ... Since we were still together and closer to the front I wasn't bothered. At the gate I started to work out why....

Once on board it became clear that the change of aircraft meant we were now sitting in PE ? (Looked and felt like J) not whY

TK don't fly F, so it would have been the J cabin you were looking at. I have not flown their Y product, but having looked back at it from time to time, you have done very well! Their intra-eu aircraft are usually nothing flash.

Ok. We must have been in PE as there was another cabin behind us that was definitely whY. Nice win as I purchased the cheapest tickets possible as the recent TK status match provided all the required benefits

Did you enjoy Athens? Was it your first time there?

Very much. Will return with the kids but stay longer and explore beyond Athens.

Last time I was in Greece it was 1976 and I was 9 years old - classic family euro holiday. First time for SWMBO.

Another terrific benefit of the TK status match

Nice rig!

We arrived 3 hours before scheduled check-in ... the agent was very apologetic that the room wasn't ready for another 20 mins so they offered complimentary tea/coffee while we waited - love the FS way of doing things!
