After lunch we strolled the streets and took the Funicular down to the river.

Finally got around to a one sitting catch up of your thread amaroo. Your pictures tell a thousand words, so want to visit all 3 of these cities - maybe when I retire (although thinking of taking the kids to Gallipoli in 2018).
 
Last day in Istanbul plan today is head to Taksim Sq and walk down to the old city.

We went with the tasting menu with matching wines.

The sommelier was kind enough to write and match the wines to the menu.

Can't wait to see the photos of the food and wine for this meal, amaroo - and your commentary on the wines ;). Not so sure I'd be hungry after reading "bird****" paste was going to be on my tenderloin :o
