The Castle

Thank you so much for your interesting, informative, humourous report plus excellent photos. Your writing style reminds me of eight black, Flyer talk fame.
I no longer am able to fly and appreciate the effort put into creating trip reports, again thank you.

Another vote of thanks, what a great read @Captain Halliday !
Often on the edge of my seat hanging out for the next episode.
Such an entertaining TR, and wonderful memories made with Mrs & Miss H.

Look forward to your next trip ✈️

Funny you should say that.

In post #2 you’ll see this was actually two trips.

We’ve taken that second trip already and have been home almost six weeks.

@Captain Halliday was the Zurich Hilton a bit remote. Just trying to work out if I'm better off forking out more to stay in the centre of the city (but it's a lot more)

Lots of great memories for your family to enjoy!
I look forward to the next one 😄✈️

If most of your plans are in and around Zurich CBD, then it might not be the best choice.

We were using public transport and basically had to allow 45mins at the start and end of the day.

The public transport is efficient and easy to navigate. However, our two big days in Zurich fell on a Sat/Sun and we spent too long waiting for transport to turn up.

It might be better on weekdays, but my sense is go closer to town if you have reasonable options on your list.

Only you can make the call on $.

Good luck.

I'm trying to work out whether the CBD costs might be outweighed by a couple of Uber trips

Thank you for the time and effort you put in for the trip report. It was entertaining and informative. I just hope MrsH has time to recover before you set off again in search of something.......
