The Emirates First Experience - What to Expect?

Thanks for the tips. Unfortunately I do not have status but will try ask Emirates to get in - nothing to lose.

To make the request for Pajamas/amenities would you just ask for it at check in or on the plane?
On the plane. After boarding but before takeoff. Usually at the same time as they offer you a drink (champagne, as well as Arabic coffee and dates), they'll offer you a bag of goodies.

See my (poor quality) pic here: Answered - The Emirates First Experience - What to Expect?

Re the lounge - might be worth asking at check-in (and if they say yes, get them to mark something on your boarding pass) - as well as asking at the lounge itself.

I believe those bags are only available on A380s, but happy to be corrected.

We have our first ever 1st class flight in a week. Pretty excited despite the recent downgrade from the a380 to 777 due to the decreased loads in Honk Kong. Would really appreciate any last tips so we can make sure we make the most of the experience and all the perks :)

I'm a complete newbie regarding F flights (and air travel in general) but recently was lucky enough to experience F on 8 flights with Emirates.
A lot has been said on this thread by very experienced flyers, and there are two points i wholeheartedly agree with. 1) It all depends on the crew, and we had some that were brilliant and others completely lacklustre. 2) Fill up in the lounges as food was a little disappointing in the air - with the exception of the mezze plate which was fabulous every time!

It is such a bizarre experience to be referred to by name and escorted to the seat etc. It takes some getting used to! I was anxious about almost everything the first couple of flights but the imposter syndrome slowly subsided once i relaxed into it.

Enjoy the experience!

Eight F flights with EK?
Sorry!
You have forfeited the right to call yourself a “newbie”! :)
Go to the top of the class. :)

Lucky enough to get another EK F experience. Just MEL-SIN 18:55 departure. Sadly this service will be retimed shortly to something stupid.

777 suite.

Champagne on boarding is just Moët Chandon. DP promised after takeoff. Dates plus Arabic coffee offered after door closed for some reason.

Can confirm no bag provided, but everything else was — pyjamas (offered and took two), slippers, amenity kit, eye shades and socks.

Only two pax of eight in F.

Why no goodies bag provided :(

Current WiFi not great so may need to hold off posting or do short posts only.

As you’d expect service was attentive with three crew for two pax. That said, it wasn’t as proactive or focused as I’ve previously experienced, with the call bell required a couple of times, but with instant response.

Took a few minutes to clear smoke haze before seat belt sign quietly extinguished. No sign of purser or drink orders for 10 minutes. I flagged down the next crew member who then got the purser to look after me. Things kicked off from there with a drink order (cognac — just plain old Paradis! — and nuts). Took a bit of discussion but eventually told
was no Imperial offered any more.

I took advantage of seeing the menu online to plan my meal (and eat early and accordingly in the F lounge beforehand). I intended enjoying myself to the full.

Started with canapés.

Stayed with the cognac rather than pair it with the Dom Perignon. They were ok but nothing special.

Then a wonderful caviar serve. With vodka shot.

Any idea on the new timing?

Have had the same thing previously ( 2 x F Pax with 3 staff ) in the end they used to just bring me a bottle of DP at a time so they could chat 🥂🥂🥂 😜

Departs MEL at 0225.
It actually suits us for a trip we are looking at as I can finish work on Friday arvo, grab one of the evening ADL-MEL flights and then spend a few hours at the lounge. Arrives in SIN at 0810 so we can get a morning connection out.
Can see how the timings aren’t ideal for many though

Cheers for that @jase05 :) I've previously caught EK433 BNE-SIN which is a similar departure time. Found I slept half the first day in Singers as the flight wasn't quite long enough to get any meaningful sleep.

Timing will suit some, but for me two big drawbacks. The QF F lounge not open / will close well before the flight. I also presume the flight will be classed as breakfast so no full dinner with caviar etc. Could be wrong on the latter but is my assumption.
